Scottish teenagers to receive sleep training in schools
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-12744698

The project created by the charity Sleep Scotland has an objective raise knowledge how sleep is very important for young people's emotional and physical comfort. The charity said watching television and using computers and mobile phones at night can prevent teenagers getting the nine hours of sleep they need. Lack of sleep can put people in a bad mood.
A pilot scheme in secondary schools in Glasgow was launched by the charity last year as part of the development of the new resource pack for teachers.
The charity wants to educate young people how to develop good sleeping habits, because they are difficult to concentrate.
The latest research shows sleep time for teenagers around the world has regularly dropped over the past 10 to 20 years.
Teenagers often believed they could make up for lack of sleep during the week by sleeping late at weekends. This is wrong thinking because lack of sleep during the week gives the same result as jet lag when they return to a school routine on Monday mornings.

Passive smoking increases stillbirth risk, says study

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-12711615

Fathers-to-be should stop smoking to protect their unborn child from the risk of stillbirth or birth defects, scientists say.
Researchers from University of Nottingham (have) found that pregnant women
exposed to smoke at work or home increased their risk of stillbirth
and of having a baby with defects.
Researchers from UK focused on pregnant women who did not smoke themselves but were passive smokers to cause proximity with people who smoked.
Researchers show that being exposed to more than 10 cigarettes a day is enough for the risks to be increased.
Women who smoke during their pregnancy condemn their unborn baby for premature birth and serious birth defects.
Research show men should stop smoking before trying for a baby.
Andrew Shennan, professor of obstetrics at St. Thomas' Hospital in London and spokesperson for baby charity Tommy's, said: "It is vital that women are made aware of the possible risks associated with second-hand smoke and alert those around them of the impact it could potentially have on the health of their unborn baby”.

Kids with ADHD more prone to depression, suicide as teens, research shows
http://www.montrealgazette.com/health/family-child/Kids+with+ADHD+more+prone+depression+suicide+teens+research+shows/3637162/story.html

According to researchers children who are diagnosed with ADHD an early age are susceptible to depression and suicide more than other teens.
Researchers said 18 per cent of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder between ages 4 to 6 were more depressed as teenagers without ADHD. There's a risk that these children are more to prone to commit suicide.
This is a very important reason that parents should not neglect ADHD in early childhood.
There is no cure for that, but treatment can be kept by a combination of drugs and therapy.
Researchers from the University of Chicago and the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, followed 123 children with ADHD from similar neighbourhoods and schools.
They discovered that children at a4 to 6 years of age are a at increased risk of depression and to some extent suicide during late childhood and adolescence.
Children with ADHD are also more likely than others to smoke and abuse drugs.
British researchers discovered the first reason that ADHD is a genetic disorder. This discovery should disprove thinking that ADHD is caused by bad parenting or high-sugar diets.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Soul To Squeeze (Official Music Video) w/ lyrics...

My favorite song !!!
"Soul to Squeeze"

"Soul to Squeeze" is a song that was originally recorded during the production of their fifth studio album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991). Although it was not featured on the record—and compiled as a b-side to "Under the Bridge"—"Soul to Squeeze" was later released as a single in 1993 to coincide with its inclusion on the Coneheads film soundtrack.

This song helps to relax my mind :)What do you think about this track?
